I attended the Storytelling Festival. It was cold outside, but the festival
was a warm place to be! I enjoyed watching the youth storytellers the most. Not because the professionals were
bad, but becuase it such a breath of fresh air to see a child with confidence enough to get up there and get into character
and tell a story in front of neighbors, teachers, strangers, and peers. It gave me such joy to see that they enjoyed
it as much as the crowd that gathered. I did not know any of these storytellers until I visited the festival this year. I
may not remember their names but I will remember their stories. Stories like these do take you back in time and stretch our
imaginations. Stories are like memories from people that have gone places we will never be able to go!
