UNM Course Work Reflection

Throughout my educational career at UNM San Juan Center; I have taken courses that have contributed greatly to my confidence as a classroom teacher as well as becoming an asset the the community.  I am very grateful for my opportunity to be a college graduate but more grateful for the chance to become a lifelong learner.  I can say that I will always be passionate about learning and passionate about the success of children and their individual abilities to learn.

Within the program, I learned a great deal from the strategy classes about educational theories and practices.  I also learned a value in the development of children and the needs that individuals may have through Psychology and Special Needs instruction.  It is the passion for learning and reflection that I have learned the most through the guidance of the instructors at UNM.  I feel my ability to observe and find children's individual strengths will benefit me the most in the classroom.  The passion and love of children is essential.  I am very grateful for the spontaneous lessons and discussions that helped us emerge into confident teachers.
