Student Teacher

Incorporated learning and management philosophies into the third grade classroom. Planned and carried out unit on “Animals We Know” which focused on animal characters in literature and their characteristics.  Studied animals and their lifestyle in all subjects for three weeks which included language arts, math, science, and social studies.  Using centers, whole group instruction and small group collaboration; incorporated appropriate curriculum throughout all lesson plans. Took advantage of “teachable” moments” and created positive relationships with students. Oversaw all lesson plans, assessments, and scheduling during allotted time for twenty-six students.  Helped cooperating teacher with enrichment and assistant.

Managed and implemented teacher lesson plans for a variety of grade levels and in multiple schools.

Kids Camp Counselor

Participated and assisted in planning summer sports activities with fifteen children, ages, 5-12 for two week sessions.  Activities included golf, tennis, swimming, arts and crafts, and fitness games.  Managed children’s safety and scheduling of different activities while providing a fun, positive and safe environment.
